[ My Life ]

[ Global Village ]

 Thursday, 10th February, 20:30 p.m.

  Nastya: Hi, dear) How’re U?

Alina: Hello) Nice! U?

Nastya: The same! See what I got:

Global Village – the international youth festival of cultures which is provided by organization AIESEC.

Global Village it is communication with youth from all over the world, fascinating presentations of different countries, interesting competitions, tasting of national dishes and many other things!

The next meeting will be on 11th February , 16:00 p.m.

Students from different corners of the world will tell about features of their countries. You can learn a lot of interesting facts about traditions and customs of cultures of our foreigners, and also try their national dishes!

In the program:

- Live dialogue with youth from different countries (China, Brazil, India, Turkey, Malaysia, Algeria, Poland, Taiwan, Japan);

- Fascinating presentations of the countries and cultures;

- Tasting of national dishes;

- Tea ceremony;

- And many other things :)

Let’s go! I really want to! What do you think?

Alina: Errrr… Ok, why not)

So, we went there and it was really nice! There were a lot of people from different countries who’re ready to share with you their lifestyle and just to chat! First there was a concert where foreigners were participating in. Some of them danced their national dances, some sang songs, others were telling about their country. After that we could try some of their food (but unfortunately I didn’t – there were too much people), try Chinese tea (I drank red tea with rose aroma – very tasty), buy souvenirs (jewelry, magnets etc.).

And there was another interesting thing! When we got registered in the reception we were given a kind of paper where we could paste stickers on which were painted the flags of the countries. So, we had to come to every table with each country and ask participants for a sticker and they also were signing them (they wrote the name of the country). And I collected 9 of them. That was for us to remember =)

We had great time! It was for the first time for me to take part in such meeting. I can say that I had a kind of a small experience of improving my English. I can’t wait the next festival =)

Friends! What can be more important in life than friends?! The people who will help you in your hardest times and will share your happiness! Those you can relay on and be sure in! The part of your life, the important one!

                      This is Nastya! My close friend.

 It was Christmas Eve when we decided to spend it together at her place. So we bought some snack, 'cause we wanted to watch a movie. But we remembered that I had brought my camera and started taking photos...  And we couldn't help stopping! Here some of them =) A very-very small number of them ;) We had had a great time together! It was unforgetable! Thank you, My Dear, for the time we had!
love U*
